What kind of tree is this (10 points for whoever tells me)?

ok we got this tree in our front yard...we planted it from a baby about 4 or 5 years ago...well we were told it was a dogwood but it isnt...it gets these strange fruits on it...we've never eaten them were scared their poisonous...the birds dont even eat them...they are like a scarelett color...and have these black spots on them...when u open them they smell almost like a peach...they are persimmons because ive eaten them before...out dog ate one once and threw up. the bark on it is sort of smooth but not like paper or anything...the tree is not very large...its actually pretty small...but i guess its still young for a tree...oh and it gets these whitish cream colored flowers on it...they almost look like apple blossoms...idk anyone know?

What kind of tree is this (10 points for whoever tells me)?
It may be a dogwood tree called "cornus Kousa" First of all, if it is a dogwood, the leaves will be opposite each other. Look at the stem and if there is a leaf on one side of the stem that is exactly opposite the leaf on the other side of the stem, you probably have a dogwood tree. The majority of trees have alternate leaves so if your leaves are opposite, look in the dogwood family for the type of dogwood that you have. The kousa has a fruit that looks something like a raspberry It is red with black dots. Sometimes you will get more hits on varieties if you look under the latin for dogwood which is Cornus.

Reply:It Sounds Like a Blooming Crabaple Tree----

If it Blooms in the spring adn Provides a Bitter non edible Fruit
Reply:Do you mean they arent persimmons?
Reply:You need to describe the shape, size, etc. of the fruit and leaves and shape of the tree. The best thing would be to actually post a pic of the tree.
