See am in 8th grade, and am makin petition about 8th grade graduation. because we can't wear flowers nor tiaras in are hair. I was planing to wear a tiara, but no on the paper they sent out in the mail about graduation said that! I mean I don't think I could get in trouble, cause it's a freedom of speeach. And it is a really werid rule. And I let people sign it at lunch or after school!
Can you get in trouble at school if you make petition at school?
Schools can make dress codes. You would do better to meet (make an appt. with the secretary) with the principal and calmly explain why you think you should be able to wear flowers or a tiara. You would be surprised how far a calm response will get you. Make a list of reasons you want to wear a tiara. Listen to your principal. Maybe there is a good reason... It does not violate your freedom of speech. A petition and a negative attitude will guarantee that you wont wear a tiara.
