I am writing a paper of English to Spanish translations for little kids.
For eg:
For Bear - I write Oso. Should I use oso instead??
For Flower - I write Flor , should it be flor??
Similarly, for Dog I use Perro.
How wrong would it be to use uppercase for all the words? or is it acceptable??
Thanks
Capital letters in Spanish?
It is not necessary to use capital letters because is not required and is not appropriate, unless it is a character or if you start a sentence with Oso, Perro, Flor, etc. Or if it is used a name of a person you put a Capital letter which would be an example in "Flor" for Spanish it could be a person's name
Reply:If you're teaching kids words in Spanish, don't forget to put an article to indicate the noun's gender.
Reply:Unless the caracter's names are actually Bear (Oso) and Flor (Flower) then they shouldn't be capitalized.
Reply:In the cases you are writing ... it's no necessary to capitalize cuz' you're talking about animals ..... Good luck with that !!!!
