Geometry?!?

I REALLY don't get this. Can anyone help??

Find the lateral area of a right cone whose height is 15 m and whose radius is 8 m.

How much paper would be needed to construct a birthday hat which is in the shape of a right cone with radius of 2.5 inches and a slant height of 5 inches?

Tell what 3-D figure most resembles the object.

a flower pot

the Transamerica building

a stalactite

Geometry?!?
umm. i can only answer ur 1st ?

lets c... here's the formula

S= 3.14 (Radius*square the radius) + 3.14 (radius) (length)

now just apply this formula to the problem...

hope i helped....
Reply:For the first problem you just need to look up the area of a cone and plug in the numbers into the formula. For the second problem you just need to find the equation for the surface area of a cone and plug in the numbers to the formula.
