How do you make flowers using tissue squares?

I am on the float committee for my school and i need help making the flowers used to decorate the floats.

you can use more than one square at a time to give it a layered look

i just need instructions on how to make them and maybe a picture of the finished product

the simpler the better but extravagant ones are ok as long as they dont take up too much time or paper

(were on a tight budget)

How do you make flowers using tissue squares?
Fan-fold several layers of tissue squares. Then tie a pipe cleaner around the center. TWIST TIGHT!!!

Then, peel the layers one by one towards the center, away from the pipe cleaner. You may need to shape the flower some.

The pipe cleaner helps you to attach the flower where you want it.

it's fun %26amp; easy to create your own flowers from paper...

What you will need to make your own paper flowers :

pipe cleaners

scissors or craft scissors that cut interesting lines

lots of paper, notebook paper, wrapping paper, waxed paper, magazines, newspaper, tissue paper, %26amp; aluminum foil

instructions for making paper flowers.

To begin, fold one end of the pipe cleaner down about a quarter of an inch two times, to form a little nub.

You can also give your flower a colored center by wrapping the end of the pipe cleaner with a small piece of paper and then folding it down.

Now, cut out any shapes you want. Circles, triangles, stars, long strips, anything you can think of. You can also use craft %26amp; special scissors to get interesting edges.

Push the pipe cleaner through the center of the pieces of paper. Make sure the decorative side of the paper faces the nub you made with the pipe cleaner. Do the small circles first, and then the larger shapes. Slide them up the pipe cleaner until you get to the bend. Scrunch them up a little bit to make them look more like a real flower.

To get inspirations, you can look at real flowers for inspiration or just use your imagination. The more different types of paper you use and funky shapes you cut out, the more beautiful your paper flower bouquet will turn out to be! - by S Khatri . 2001

I would suggest going to your nearest Dollar Store or Dollar Tree to purchase your paper.
