What is America's national cookie? Drink? Bird?

I want to include these in the thesis of a paper I'm writing on bilingual education.

I need to know America's national:

drink

cookie

bird

flower

and anything else that I can find that would spark interest.

I know that each state in America has these things, but does America as a whole have them?

Where can I find a list of these things?

Unless someone just knows these things.

What is America's national cookie? Drink? Bird?
I have not searched in depth, but here is a site with a listing for national symbols, and this one, at least, confirms my doubt of having a national drink or cookie. some states have chosen these (and a host of other things)

national bird is bald eagle, flower is the rose

anyway, link for national symbols: http://www.govdocs.evergreen.edu/symbols...

link for state symbols: http://www.netstate.com/states/index.htm...
Reply:Just guessing, the drink could be coke and the cookie could be OREO. The National bird is of course the Eagle.

Rose is also the National Flower of America. It was proclaimed by President Reagan in 1986 as the National Floral Emblem of the United States of America after both the House of Representatives and the Senate had passed the resolution. The proclamation included the fact that the rose had always had a special place in the hearts of Americans.

Good luck to you. :)
Reply:The national bird is the bald eagle

flower: Rose

tree: Oak

I haven't been able to find any declared national cookie or drink. I do know that the number 1 selling cookie is Chips Ahoy. The number 2 is held by the Girl Scouts' Thin Mints (which is amazing since it only sells 3 weeks out of a year).

Many people might assume Coke as the national drink but if you look into the state bluebooks state drink and soft drink can be separated (example Nebraska its milk and cool-aid).
