This happened to me. Could this have been a magical trick? Or is it that the guy was saying the truth?

I can swear on anyone including my mom that this has happened to me. This happened to me when I was in Sydney, Australia in 1995. I was working in a shop at the counter. A graceful looking Indian man with long hair and beard came directly to my counter and said, by looking at my forehead he can tell that I will become a big yogi. I was bit fascinated by that since I already was interested in becoming one. To convince me he did this. Looking at me he wrote something on a paper. He folded it and gave it to me and asked me to open this later. He then asked me to think of my favorite color, lucky number and a flower that I like. I thought of picking the wrong ones but finally decided to go for the correct ones. Once I opened it, I was surprised to see the exact matching answers. I have never revealed my personal details to anyone at any time. Atleast not when I was in Sydney. Is it possible the Guy was reading my mind? I still have no clue. Can you please explain this? No mocking.

You are what you say you are friend. There is nothing written that says you must some day become a yogi, but at the same time - as you said this is something you have wanted, there is nothing that could keep you from it if that is your desire.



Could this have been a trick? Possibly, although - sounds like if it was, it was a really good one. But what would this person have gained by tricking you? It seems to me that it was a confirmation of something you have been desiring - and I would advise you to take it as such. Believe in yourself and follow your desires.

Reply:It's quite possible, but I feel that I should add that statistical analysis could have been his major in college. Still, it's a very interesting story, and it does show that there are things we may not choose to understand, or can't.

Reply:What he did was very simple. I do that trick often. I could have done better. I could have told you your favorite animal, toy, fruit etc also. Also your birthsign. Had he told you something useful that would have been different. Like what wasa going to happen tomorrow, next week etc. To say you will become a big guri is like saying you will become rich. Without him saying that it may be true. But its rather egotistical to be a BIG yogi. So who wants it?!

Reply:There is no trick involved in reading a human mind. What is the mind other than an organ which runs off of electrical impulses? It's no different than reading the HTML code that produces images in a computer screen. The trick is in reading a man's heart. What does your say to you? Does it say to deny this as a conjurer's trick, or does it say to believe? Follow your heart, and it will take you to places heretofore unimagined.
Reply:For the benefit of the answerers who don't know, a yogi is a follower of one of the Hindu disciplines (called yogas): there's jnana yoga, the path of knowledge, bhakti yoga, the path of love and devotion, karma yoga, the path of action, hatha yoga, which is most common in the USA and practiced mostly for health and peace of mind, and kundalini yoga, and many others.



As for the mind reading, maybe. But professional magicians know the statistics on this sort of thing, and all the "yogi" has to do is pick the most popular 3, run his ploy on a dozen people, and he'll get it right on 2 or 3 of them. The ones he got wrong won't bother to respond. The ones where he got lucky, maybe one of them is gullible enough to become a follower, who later can be "taken" for as much as she's worth. Hard to know.

Reply:Trick, your favorite color is blue, your lucky number is 3, you like roses. He may have got you to reveal these things to him during the course of your conversation, without your being aware you were doing so.
Reply:It is quite likely that everything about us is written plainly on our features. If someone has enough simplicity and clarity they can read it off.

Reply:trick or real i don't know . so long as this has been of help to you then go with it . remember that Christ is the answer. you can continue with this other stuff but just understand that Jesus said i am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father except though me.

Christ wont do magic tricks to convince you to follow him but he will use some very mysterious ways to lead you to the final place. place come now.
