1. he
2. she
3. me
4. I
5. she
6. me
Reply:1. The forest ranger is he standing by the truck.
2. The pastor's wife is she in the flowered dress.
3. A paper airplane landed between Timothy and me. (object of a preposition)
4. Rick and I went to the zoo. (subject pronoun)
5. My cousins are Yvonne and she.
The coach patted Jason and me on the back.
Reply:Strawberry, I hope you don't go along with the majority. Everybody here has given you the wrong answers except Sherry.
For the first two, IS takes the subjective case, that is HE or SHE, in formal English. (IS is a conjugate of the verb TO BE.)
Likewise 5. ARE, also a conjugate of the verb TO BE, takes the subjective case.
Reply:1. Is he standing by the truck?
You can check which word to use by thinking how you've heard it said before, as in, "He is standing by the truck." You wouldn't say "Him is standing by the truck?"
2. She, the pastor's wife, is in the flowered dress.
You wouldn't say, "Her is in the dress."
3. A paper airplane landed between Timothy and me.
You can check yourself by thinking other ways you've heard similar things like, "You can sit between me and Timothy." You don't say, "You can sit beside I", you'd say, "You could sit beside me."
4. Rick and I went to the zoo. Double check by putting it another way, as in "I went to the zoo", as you wouldn't say, "Me went to the zoo".
5. My cousins are Yvonne and she. Or,
She and Yvonne are my cousins, or
She is my cousin, as you wouldn't say, "her is my cousin".
6. The coach patted Jason and me on the back.
Or, the coach patted me on the back, as I don't think you've heard it said, "The coach patted I on the back.
Reply:1 = HIM
2 = HER
3 = I
4 = I
5 = ?
6 = I
Reply:1. he. He is standing by the truck.
2. she. She is in the flowered dress.
3. me. This an objective case.
4. I. Rick went to the zoo and I did too.
5. she. Yvonne is my cousin and she is too.
6. me. The coach patted me on the back too.
Reply:1 i'm not sure about
2 her
3 I
4 I
5 her
6 I
Reply:For the first one, the answer is him.
The second one is her.
The third one is I.
THe fourth one is I.
The fifth one is her.
THe last one is I.
Hope i gave you all the correct answers and goodl uck on your english test tomorrrow!
