Landscaping Estimate?

I have been doing lawns and now have a client who wants some landscaping. They want 100 feet of border, landscaping paper and 5 yards of rock laid in some flower beds that wrap around the house. What would be a ballpark figure to do this job?

If this is a client that you have and are working with then I would give them a small break on the cost of labor.I would charge them $30.00 to $35.00 an hour as I assume you do know how long it will take to finish the job.And a mark up on the materials of min 35% or even 50%. So Materials @ 35% =??? Labor $35.00 @ x =???
Reply:hello ihave been in the lawn and landscaping feild for quite a while with a really big company.iam a superteident with them and this is how we would bid it 100 doallrs for the bed edging job,and 430 for the rock delivered and installed iwould ball park it at about 500 if u do it alone in one day.
Reply:Go to the Lowe's or Home Depot website and look up the materials you will need. They list the prices. You can do a few variations on the materials, such as budget or upscale, to determine what you can get that is within the client's budget. Don't forget to add in your time.
