Need help on a maths question about triangles. (Question is in the Details)?

"In the corner of the garden is a triangular flower bed. It is an isosceles triangle and contains a right angle, The area of the flower bed is 40.5 meteres squared. Cut the flower bed out out of paper and stick it in place"



I just can't seem to figure out this question so all your help would be greatly appreciated :)

Since it's isosceles AND a right triangle, that means it's a 45-45-90 triangle.



In a right triangle, the area = (1/2)(leg 1)(leg 2)

Since it's a 45-45-90 triangle, the two legs are equal.



So...

40.5 = (1/2)(x)(x)

40.5 = (1/2)(x^2)

81 = x^2

9 = x



So, each leg is 9 meters long.
