Origami Fixative Spray?

I've been making origami lilies and they come out looking beautiful, but after a few minutes their petals uncurl, and they loose some of their overall shape. Is their some kind of spray that hardens paper and would allow the flowers to keep their shape? Thanks in advance. ( =

Origami Fixative Spray?
I would suggest asking a Craft or Hobby shop.
Reply:I assume you use white paper only for the Lillie's. If you use color paper and a spray on them it will bleed the color out. You might try an artist outlet store for info. Or if the Origami item is small, take a glass, plastic, or some kind of container to place the item in and then spray a mist inside the container and shut the lid down tight. Keep the item in container until the mist dissipates and lift it out. The paper should absorb the stiffening chemical.

Reply:hairspray. works like a charm.
Reply:I believe there is a starch spray that may work. But go to a store like Michaels and ask them. They are normally really nice and if you get the Sunday paper they always have a coupon in there anf the products are cheaper than anywhere else I have seen.
