Paper Art. I saw some artwork like origami, and I want to make one and frame it.. please read more.?

The art works were made out of single sheets of paper. They paper was cut to produce enough to fold up into figures like a person, a hummingbird, a flower, but the figures were still attached to the paper - not entirely cut away from it. I want to make one but can not find any instructions for this.

I'm not sure; if this what your talking about here ;but I think there called paper silhouettes or pop up cards Here some books on it.
